Allegations of physical abuse and excessive discipline were used in an effort to change custody from a parent. Child Protective Services were engaged. Protective Orders were filed. Change of Custody Petitions were implemented. Life Sentence Results in Reduced Charges
Aggravated Sexual Battery
There were two separate jury trials for Aggravated Sexual Battery led by Scott Hallauer. Each carried a mandatory life sentence upon conviction. Both times the jury refused to convict. The Commonwealth of Virginia has since reduced the charges.
