A three-member Navy panel found that a sailor of 16 years did not in fact commit any misconduct during a port call in Lisbon Portugal. US Navy Reserve JAG CAPT Scott Hallauer handled the case in his civilian attorney capacity.

Allegations of physical abuse and excessive discipline were used in an effort to change custody from a parent. Child Protective Services were engaged. Protective Orders were filed. Change of Custody Petitions were implemented. Attorney Scott Hallauer won multiple hearings in multiple cities and was able to show that the claims were exaggerated and the client was a good parent and retained custody.

Aggravated Sexual Battery

There were two separate jury trials for Aggravated Sexual Battery led by Scott Hallauer. Each carried a mandatory life sentence upon conviction. Both times the jury refused to convict. The Commonwealth of Virginia has since reduced the charges.
